It was only after I chose it and put the lyrics in the order of service that I realised the second verse is ordinary, to put it generously (apparently living with a wife and two children is as laudable an effort from a father as teaching your child to pray is from a mother). Ocean tried to improve it from the original by Gene McLennan (sung by Anne Murray), and theirs is better, but not brilliant. So I'm using the Ocean version and then planning on not using it again.
